Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan recently acquired three office units in Mumbai, according to reports. The iconic star of the upcoming film "Kalki 2898 AD" is said to have purchased these office spaces in Andheri West's Veer Savarkar Signature building, which also houses commercial spaces owned by other Bollywood celebrities like Kajol, Sara Ali Khan, and Kartik Aaryan. Documents accessed by FloorTap.com reveal that Amitabh Bachchan paid a substantial Rs 59.58 crore for the three office units, which span a total area of 8,429 square feet. The purchase also includes three car parking slots. To finalize the transaction, Amitabh made an upfront payment of Rs 3.57 crore. This isn't Amitabh's first venture into commercial real estate. He already owns four office spaces in the same Signature Building, which he rented out last year for an annual rent of Rs 2.07 crore, secured by a deposit of Rs 1.03 crore. Earlier in the year, Amitabh also bought a 10,000 square feet plot of land in Ayodhya from The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL).

Amitabh's latest purchase coincides with a significant property acquisition by his son, Abhishek Bachchan. Abhishek recently bought six apartments in Borivali's Oberoi Sky City project by Oberoi Realty. These six apartments collectively cover 4,894 square feet and were purchased at a rate of Rs 31,498 per square foot, with the sale agreement signed on May 5, 2024. The apartments are situated on the 57th floor of a high-rise building along the Western Express Highway (WEH) in Borivali East and come with 10 car parking spaces.




Both Amitabh and Abhishek have yet to address these reports regarding their substantial property investments this year. The acquisitions by the Bachchans highlight their continued investment in prime real estate, reflecting their business acumen and solidifying their presence in Mumbai's competitive property market. These moves also underscore the importance of real estate as a stable and lucrative investment for celebrities, providing a source of steady income and long-term value. As fans and the industry await official comments, these transactions continue to be a topic of interest and speculation.
